[ And if that wasn't confusing enough, all six Dittos decide to transform into Layton... Know how no matter what Dittos transform into, they always have dot eyes so you can easily identify them apart from the real one? Well, Layton has dot eyes... ]

They're all identical.

[ And she's not sure if she should be disturbed or not by this revelation. Mind, her encounters with Johto's Ditto population have been few and far between, but this... this is ridiculous, that's what it is. Every one of this guy's Pokémon, a Ditto? Is this because of all the strange things going on or is this guy just that into Dittos? Don't mind her as she turns a keen gaze on the seven Laytons. ]

[ All the Ditto!Laytons crowd around the gear, going "DITTOOOOO :DDDDD" at camera. Layton pulls his gear away from the best he can, finding it difficult to actually get away from his Ditto clones now that they're quite interested in the Pokegear. ]

[ He's the only one without a goofy smile and clearly unamused by this. Johtoooo, just give him back his normal teammmm. ]
